" Nursing home abuse lawsuit
settlement publicized"
A recent nursing home abuse settlement is being
made an example of by a law firm stating the case is just one example
of the nursing home abuse and nursing home neglect that occurs to
residents across the country. Many nursing home abuse instances
are never reported and some nursing home residents endure brutal
nursing home abuse in their last days. Yet, the Montana nursing
home has maintained the allegations that the nursing home administrator
with the history of drug abuse stole narcotic patches off the elderly
deceased nursing home resident for her own use is completely false.
According to the nursing home abuse suit,
doctors had increased the amount of synthetic narcotic in the patches
to amounts great enough to sedate a 200-pound man after the woman
continued to complain of pain. The nursing home has said that since
the nursing home abuse allegations a complete change of staff has
occurred. There are 2,500 reported Montana elder abuse instances
every year with an estimated four to every reported case going unreported.
Many attribute nursing home abuse to poorly paid workers in a profession
that requires a large amount of attention.
