"Washington nursing home reform bill signed into law"
Governor Bob Holden had State Senator John Griesheimer’s support
after signing into law a nursing home reform bill. The Washington
nursing home abuse prevention plan will restrict and control the
state’s choice of vendors when a nursing home is placed in
receivership.
In addition, the new nursing home bill will
protect any workers that report cases of abuse and neglect and an
automatic $10,000 a day fine for conditions present that place nursing
home residents’ lives in danger. The Washington nursing home
abuse changes were unable to make it through to becoming new laws
in the past three sessions. Contact
